The first opening of the FDA White Oak Farmers Market was held on September 21, 2010, with the overwhelming participation of 800-plus employees in attendance.  This year, the Market will host new vendors such as Shaina’s Mediterranean Grill and offer a variety of scrumptious lunch specials.

Listed below are harvest times for various products in your Market:

May and June
Early crops, bedding plants, strawberries, flowers, baked goods, jams, and honey.

July, August, and September
Tomatoes, corn, potatoes, watermelon, cantaloupe, peas, cabbage, turnips, assorted berries, baked goods, honey, and
peaches.

September and October
Late summer crops plus apples, pumpkins, peppers, gourds, cider, mums, and baked goods.

VENDORS:

PLEITEZ PRODUCE:
Pleitez Produce is a family owned and operated farm that grows both fruits and vegetables. Their goal is to grow the best
tasting and highest quality locally grown produce for all customers. Their produce includes Strawberries, Blueberries,
Blackberries, Asparagus, Lettuce, Beans, Sweet Corn, Sweet and Hot Peppers, Summer Squash, Vine Ripe Tomatoes,
Heirloom Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Eggplant, Okra, Watermelons, Cantaloupes, and many other delicious vegetables.

GROFF’S CONTENT FARM (pastured meats):
Groff’s Content Farm is located in Rocky Ridge, Maryland. The farm raises different types of poultry such as: chickens, ducks,
guinea hens and turkeys, as well as different meats which come from pigs, cattle, and sheep.

FULL CELLAR FARM:
Full Cellar Farm grows fresh vegetables, herbs, cut flowers and pastured poultry, pork and eggs on the scenic westward slopes
of the Middletown Valley in Frederick County, Maryland.

ZEKE’S COFFEE OF DC:
Zeke's Coffee specializes in the highest quality organic, fair trade, and sustainable Arabica beans. Zeke’s feature dozens of
single-origin coffees from single-estate farms around the world and create their own custom blends. They roast each pound
in a small fluid bed roaster.

SIMPLE PLEASURES ICE CAFÉ:
Simple Pleasures Ice Cafe manufactures homemade ice cream daily on the premises and serves delicious cakes, pies, cookies,
torts, and pastries that are prepared onsite. In addition to their homemade ice cream and food items this quaint cafe serves
gourmet teas and brews Green Mountain Coffees for their beverages.

GEPPETTO CATERING BBQ DIVISION:
Geppetto has always had BBQ on their menu, and in 2009, people took notice. Word of mouth spread and rave reviews
poured in. It was a hit! The Difference: Organic, locally sourced meats; Brined for twenty-four hours; Smoked with oak
logs for eight hours;
Slow cooked for another twelve
hours in a dutch oven.

PUDDIN’:
Puddin’ is a serious sweets shop serving up rich, delicious, creamy pudding goodness. Puddin’ presents a luscious, decadent and
rather grown-up version of this classic childhood treat.

MYSTIC WATER SOAP:
Pamper your skin with a range of products - something for all skin types and all seasons: whipped shea butter, cuticle balm,
lotion bars, lip balms, body & massage oils, dusting powders, and more, available Shampoo bars, herbal hair oil, and wooden
combs, are all available.

CAKES BY RUTHANN:
Everything is baked from scratch and it is all made to order.

MARK’S KETTLE KORN:
Mark has been creating Kettle Corn since late 1990. Mr. Kernel makes the Kettle-Korn right in front of you.  Mark’s
Kettle Korn uses locally grown corn from Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

TONY FETTERS FRUIT FARM:
Ten varieties of fresh picked fruits; cherry juice; and spicy peach barbeque sauce are just some of the selections available.

VERANDAH INDIAN CUISINE:
Features a variety of Indian food.
